Association Region Karpaty, the Slovak part of the Carpathian Euroregion, in co-operation with the Polish and Ukrainian national secretariats of the CE organized an international youth hike that was hold on the May 3, 2003. The event was organized for the young people of the three bordering countries - Slovakia, Poland and Ukraine that have their meeting point on the Kremenec hill (1221 above the sea level), that is also situated on the bordering area of three national parks - NP Poloniny (SK), NP Biescady (PL), Uzsky NP. The number of young people participated in the event could be estimated to 300. The slovak national secretariat arranged for the transport from Kosice and Presov to Nova Sedlice - the leaving point of the hike from the slovak side. After the non-official welcome by the national representatives of the CE, all three participated countries presented their countries in a short cultural programme.
