President of Kosice self-governing region during his working meeting in Brussels within the days 1.- 3. July 2003 participated at 50. plenary session of Committee of Rregions. It was for first time in the history of the forum of regional and local self-government representativesm of EU, that in position of Observers could participate representatives of Accession countries.During the plenary meeting president of KSR forward at seminar of future Regional policy and structural funds and at the same time he was elected for leader of nine members Slovak delegation for next period. During his working trip he met a representative of European Comission, General Directoriate for regional development Jean- Marie Seyler. The theme of discussion was preparation for structural funds of EU and the role of regional self-government in this process. President of self-governing region attended the meeting at Stockholm regional representation in Brussells and at Mission of Slovak republic to EU, where he discussed about preparation of permanent meeting KSR in Brussels.
