July 12 2004 300 teachers and 100 students coming from 60 countries are taking part in the annual conference of the non-profit organization iEARN 2004, which started by the opening ceremony in Dom Umenia - „House of Arts“ in Kosice. Participants of the conference, which will be held at Gymnazium Srobarova 1 until July 17, were welcomed by the representative of its founder, the Kosice Self-Governing Region (KSR), Mrs. Rozalia Mudra, Director of the Office of KSR. The world meeting of high school teachers and students – International Education and Resource Network – takes place in Slovakia for the first time. Previous conferences have been held five years ago in Puerto Rico, later in China, South Africa, Russia and last year in Japan.
